Great whales yet again for our second trip of the day, with two sets of mothers and calves having a good old fashioned breach off! Both pairs a few hundred meters away from each other, taking it in turns to launch themselves into the air! ... See MoreSee Less

Very active whales out on the ocean today! The weather has meant we have some rougher seas this morning, but that has not stopped our big blubbery friends from putting on an incredible display for our first cruise! ... See MoreSee Less

Today has been all about the big pods of whales!

While Humpbacks can usually be solitary animals, we spent this morning tracking a large pod of up to 9 whales all powering their way South. This afternoon we had a huge rainstorm pass through, which seemed to quiet things down. That was until a pod of 8 whales then decided to turn on the action for us right at the last moment!

Hows that for power?!

A huge tail throw from one of our Humpback friends today on our afternoon Discovery Cruise. After the big swell over the weekend, the whales were out in force today with two big pods of up to nine whales cruising south.

This big tail throw was a perfect example of how much power these beautiful animals can unleash and its incredible to see!Image attachmentImage attachment

Shake your tail feather, baby!

Bit of choppy weather today, but nothing stops the whale traffic on the humpback highway!

We encountered 3-4 different pods of humpbacks that were hugging the coast while heading South towards the Antarctic. It takes a lot of strength and power to go against the swell and these humpbacks make it look easy! We even spotted a pod of Common Dolphin's pass by, enjoying a surf on the waves. 🐬

What another ripper of an afternoon that was on our Discovery cruise! 🐋

We saw high numbers of playful mothers and humpback calves! There were pods of whales every direction going bonkers and showing us all different ways to make a splash in the water, with all the commotion taking place right outside Sydney Heads.

  • Weather was a bit miserable, but the boat made it comfortable. The crew had their finger on the pulse out there and when whales were spotted by a sister boat, we were taken quickly to a perfect viewing spot. The whales repeatedly breached, including a double breach from the pair. We got great photos and finished the voyage pumped.

  • The boat, crew and overall experience was fabulous! Whales were promised and wow we were blown away, we can’t believe that we saw whales breaching and tail slapping so close we felt at times we could almost touch them.
This crew have perfected the tour with an onboard Marine Biologist and happy, easygoing but safe attitude.

  • Must to do with kids. Amazing experience with kids. Must to do if in Sydney. There is big difference watching whale compared to other animals as the shear size of whale and they move is magnificent.
